For several months, I have been looking forward to my retirement. In fact, three weeks ago I downloaded a "Days Until" calculator which helps me with the countdown. When checking my "Days Until" last week, I realized that as of today I would have 1000 days until retirement. 1000 days! I know time passes quickly, but 1000 days still seemed like a long time to wait for something I want so badly.
Then I had an inspiration. Why not see how many of those things on my "When I Retire" list I can accomplish in the next 1000 days? And wouldn't a blog be a good way to keep track of my accomplishments as well as keeping me on track with my goals? Besides, blogging is one of the things on my "When I Retire" list; so in starting this blog, I've already taken the first step of my 1000 day journey.
